California Rules of Court 10.500 sets forth comprehensive public access provisions applicable to judicial administrative records maintained by state trial and appellate courts and the Judicial Council of California.

The court will make identifiable judicial administrative records available upon request, unless the records are exempt from disclosure under Rule 10.500. Records may be subject to payment of a fee. Requests should be made in writing and directed to:

The court's business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays and court closures).

Before using a court facility for any purpose, a third party must submit a completed Application for Third Party Use of Court Facilities to the court’s executive officer for approval. If the El Dorado County Superior Court, a judge and/or staff person in his or her official capacity is a named party to an action or proceeding involving a tort claim or for production of records, service shall be effected on the Court Executive Officer as agent for service of process at 2850 Fairlane Court, Suite 110, Placerville, California.

Court mediators or other staff may be subpoenaed to attend a civil action or proceeding as a witness in litigation in a matter regarding an event or transaction which he or she perceived or investigated in the course of his or her duties, to which the court and/or employee is not a party. Service of the subpoena may be accomplished by delivering a copy either to the person personally or to the Court Executive Officer as the agent designated to receive service.

The amount of two hundred seventy five dollars ($275) shall be tendered for each day that an employee is required to remain in attendance pursuant to a subpoena. (Pursuant to Government Code §§ 68096.1 & 68097.)
